St. Luke's Opens New Location Minutes from Lakes of Savannah

Located just minutes from SH 288 and the growing Pearland area, Lakes of Savannah residents enjoy a beautifully planned community close to some of the area’s finest medical, retail and recreation centers. Recently, St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital opened a new emergency center in Pearland. The new center that includes more than 14,000 square feet of space, St. Luke’s Community Emergency Center–Pearland will provide 24-hour emergency services including X-ray, CT scan and on-site laboratory services. The equipment and facilities are modeled after the main hospital’s emergency department and staffed with emergency physicians, nurses and clinical staff. The primary location for St. Luke’ is in the Texas Medical Center, also convenient to Lakes of Savannah. The newest location represents the fifth campus for St. Luke’s. The Pearland Town Center remains busy, with new development on tract. Along the 288 corridor are new restaurants and stores, including a brand new Kroger store, located along SH 288.

Two New Models Now Open

Two new models now open represent some of the newest and largest homes now available in Lakes of Savannah, located of SH 288 in the Pearland area. J. Patrick Homes and Brighton Homes have each opened new decorated models in some of the newest neighborhoods in Lakes of Savannah, where lakefront home sites are now available.

J. Patrick Homes’ new model is part of an impressive collection of new floor plans now available in Savannah Landing. Priced from the $230,000s, homes from J. Patrick are built on home sites that average 80 feet in width and range in size from 2,800 to more than 4,300 square feet, with options that can make a home a large as 4,800 square feet.The new St. Andrews model has just opened and offers visitors a preview of the spacious rooms and thoughtful design found throughout the builder’s homes.

A front porch spanning the front of the home opens into a two-story gallery foyer highlighted by a winding staircase. Located off the foyer are a private study and a spacious formal dining room. The island kitchen and open serving bar are open to the two-family room which also includes the home’s second staircase. Located off the family room is the private master suite that has a sitting room and views of the back yard.

Upstairs, the home has a game room, media room and very spacious secondary bedrooms. Todd Grady, Marketing Director for J. Patrick Homes in Lakes of Savannah says that the home’s third-car garage bay can also be used as additional living space. With the optional rooms, this home is nearly 4,800 square feet in size.

Savannah Cove is the location of Brighton Homes’ new two-story model. The Stanton, with more than 3,200 square feet, appears even larger because of its open floor plan and high ceilings.

The Stanton is one of 10 new designs by Brighton Homes in Savannah Cove, ranging in size from 2,600 to more than 3,200 square feet, priced from the $200,000s to the $240,000s. Brighton’s homes include both attached and detached garages.

Pearland Town Center: Pearland's First Mall Opens

The landscape of the Highway 6 corridor will soon see an abundance of retail shopping and dining.

Plans have been announced for a Kroger anchored retail shopping center located at the intersection of the Ft. Bend Tollway and Hwy 6 Ft. Bend Town Center will feature a 103,000 sq ft Kroger's grocer store along with other numerous retail tenants, including Wachovia and Chase Banks. Site developed by New Quest Properties.

HEB has also announced plans to begin construction of a new store located at Sienna Parkway and Highway 6. Estimated opening late 2008/early 2009.

The recent opening of Pearland Town Center has put major retail and restaurants just minutes from home for residents in Lakes of Savannah. The center, which includes such major stores as Macy’s, Dillard’s and Barnes and Noble, offers an impressive list of stores from the nation’s most sought after retailers. Fort Bend Toll Road Offers Commuting Options

FT Bend Tollway:

The newly opened Ft. Bend Tollway now offers Savannah residents three routes into Houston's major employment corridors via Hwy 288, FM 521 (Almeda Rd.) and the new Ft. Bend Tollway. This new tollway currently extends from Hwy 6, approximately 4.5 miles west of Lakes of Savannah and runs a route via Hwy 90 into Post Oak, allowing for easier Galleria area commutes. The tollway is now open for commuters!

This new roadway will soon also be the site of a new retail shopping/dining complex, Fort Bend Town Center. This new center will be located at the intersection of the Ft Bend Tollway and Hwy 6, just 4.5 miles from Lakes of Savannah! The center will be anchored by a 200,000 sq ft Kroger's grocery store.

Savannah Parkway and County Road 58 extension:

Construction began in late 2007 on the extension of Savannah Parkway north to County Road 58. Lakes of Savannah's developer will also pave County Road 58 along all areas adjacent to;Lakes of Savannah.

Once complete in spring/summer 2008, this extension will provide Lakes of Savannah residents with a second, more northern access point to Highway 288 via County Road 58.
