Recently, St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital opened a new emergency center in Pearland. The new center that includes more than 14,000 square feet of space, St. Luke’s Community Emergency Center–Pearland will provide 24-hour emergency services including X-ray, CT scan and on-site laboratory services. The equipment and facilities are modeled after the main hospital’s emergency department and staffed with emergency physicians, nurses and clinical staff. The primary location for St. Luke’ is in the Texas Medical Center, also convenient to Lakes of Savannah. The newest location represents the fifth campus for St. Luke’s. The Pearland Town Center remains busy, with new development on tract. Along the 288 corridor are new restaurants and stores, including a brand new Kroger store, located along SH 288.

The landscape of the Highway 6 corridor will soon see an abundance of retail shopping and dining.
Plans have been announced for a Kroger anchored retail shopping center located at the intersection of the Ft. Bend Tollway and Hwy 6 Ft. Bend Town Center will feature a 103,000 sq ft Kroger's grocer store along with other numerous retail tenants, including Wachovia and Chase Banks. Site developed by New Quest Properties.
HEB has also announced plans to begin construction of a new store located at Sienna Parkway and Highway 6. Estimated opening late 2008/early 2009.
The recent opening of Pearland Town Center has put major retail and restaurants just minutes from home for residents in Lakes of Savannah. The center, which includes such major stores as Macy’s, Dillard’s and Barnes and Noble, offers an impressive list of stores from the nation’s most sought after retailers. FT Bend Tollway:
The newly opened Ft. Bend Tollway now offers Savannah residents three routes into Houston's major employment corridors via Hwy 288, FM 521 (Almeda Rd.) and the new Ft. Bend Tollway. This new tollway currently extends from Hwy 6, approximately 4.5 miles west of Lakes of Savannah and runs a route via Hwy 90 into Post Oak, allowing for easier Galleria area commutes. The tollway is now open for commuters!
This new roadway will soon also be the site of a new retail shopping/dining complex, Fort Bend Town Center. This new center will be located at the intersection of the Ft Bend Tollway and Hwy 6, just 4.5 miles from Lakes of Savannah! The center will be anchored by a 200,000 sq ft Kroger's grocery store.
