Many residents in the Pearland area are proud of where they live and how beautiful the location is. On September 12th, Lakes of Savannah will have the chance to be a part of keeping Pearland clean. Keep Pearland Beautiful (KPB) will host its annual Fall Community Clean-up on September 12th. The project begins at 7:30 am with breakfast tacos at Stella Roberts Recycling Center, 5800 Magnolia.

People interested in helping out can check in at the location to pick up trash bags and disposable gloves to help pick up litter. KPB will be giving cash prizes to the one with the most creative photo of their clean-up results.

To submit your photos email them to cowles@keeppearlandbeautiful.org or mail them to 2947 E. Broadway Suite 300, Pearland, TX 77581. In addition, a cash prize will also be awarded by a random drawing of all of the wrap-up reports, which must be submitted by October 12th.

Last year 667 volunteers worked for 1,027 hours and collected 264 bags of trash. Let's see if we can break that record this Saturday in Pearland! Special gifts will also be made for all volunteers that come for the 2009 Fall Trash Off.
